Presentation by Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and Discussion

The Biennale Bregaglia and its predecessor exhibitions from 2008 onwards are examined in a research project at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) on the biennial format in rural areas in Switzerland. The focus is on its influence on regional development, tourism, cultural policy and notions of art.

Jennifer Smailes and Pascal Steinemann will provide insights into the current state of research, which is based on interviews, site visits, data analysis and textual research, and invite discussion on the art of the Biennale Bregaglia and its impact(s).

The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Event held in German, contributions to the discussion in Italian are welcome.
